Analyst

Location: MN - Mankato

Assist the loan officers in the areas of agriculture, commercial, and real estate lending.  Analyze financial information and credit reports to evaluate degree of risk of commercial loans and to prepare recommendations for the bank lending committee regarding credit limits and terms of loan.

Accountabilities:

  • Prepare financial and collateral analysis and narration in loan reviews
  • Maintain correspondence with participants on sold loans
  • Track the Bank's portfolio of bought and sold loan participations
  • Maintain correspondence with lead banks
  • Monitor individual loans and compile periodic reviews and analysis
  • Document any covenants or changes necessary per credit during loan committee
  • Prepare Offices call report
  • Abide by all policies, procedures and regulations of UP
  • Any and all other duties as assigned by management.

 

Job Specifications:

Ability to exercise professional judgment and decision making based on the philosophy of the Bank and in the interest of the Bank's growth and profitability.  Well developed interpersonal skills needed to work with department personnel and assist other departments as needed.  Ability to follow through on assignments with minimal supervision.  High degree of confidentiality and professionalism.

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance or related commercial or agriculture field
  • Four or more years of experience in lending or financial analysis
  • Proficiency in analysis software plus excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Occasional day travel may be required for training/meeting purposes
  • Prior credit analyst experience preferred
