UPIA Client Service Specialist II

Location: Mankato, MN

Interact directly with insurance clients and agency producers, providing service and support in a timely and professional manner that exceeds expectations.

Accountabilities:

  • Communicate with current and potential clients, providing information, answering questions and resolving concerns
  • Contact current and potential clients via phone and/or email to set appointments for agents
  • Set priorities and manage workflows to ensure efficient, timely and accurate processing of transactions
  • Prepare insurance proposals through marketing & rating new business and expiring policies
  • Process policy changes, endorsements and certificate requests. Set follow up activity to assure request were properly completed
  • Assist clients in submitting loss notices and maintain follow up to ensure timely claims settlement
  • Prepare and review documents and forms required to bind insurance products
  • Assist agent with additional activities as assigned to achieve agency growth and retention objectives
  • Compile and update client lists and databases
  • Maintain orderly electronic files and information, following agency standards

 

Job Specifications:

Well-developed verbal and written communication skills; general knowledge of internet usage and Microsoft Office programs.  Strong desire to learn and follow policies, procedures and sales processes.  Must be highly adaptable to change.  Ability to practice discretion and confidentiality in all situations.

 

Job Qualifications:

  • High School degree required; Two year Associates Degree desired
  • Previous Insurance Agency experience preferred with knowledge of Applied Agency Management System desired
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office software
  • Excellent spelling and grammar; excellent verbal and written communication skills with superior attention to detail and accuracy
  • Must obtain MN Property / Casualty and / or Life, Accident & Health Insurance License within 45 days of employment
  • Occasional day travel may be required for training/meeting purposes
