Loan Processor

The following full-time opportunity is now available at our Hilltop location.
Location: Mankato, MN 

Under the direction of the Loan Operations Manager, the Loan Processor will prepare new loans, extensions, renewals and modifications for all Ag, Commercial and Consumer (non-real estate) loans for all United Prairie bank locations. The Processor will also export any new loans to the Premier and will perform all file maintenance as it relates to loan accounts. This position will also assist with Loan-related bookkeeping and bank operations as delegated by management.

Accountabilities:
  • Input new loans, extensions, renewals and modifications on the ARTA documentation system. Must have a good working knowledge of loan documents, and must have knowledge of Loan Types, Collateral Codes, Purpose Codes, etc.
  • Exportation of loans to the Premier System.
  • Perform file maintenance as it relates to loan accounts.
  • Responsible for Indexing & Committing loan documents as part of the Doc Scanning process.
  • Operational duties consisting of Non-Post corrections, daily balancing of GL’s, E-Oscar disputes, SBA Reporting & Charge-off processing.
  • Perform any and all other duties as assigned by management
  • Abide by all policies, procedures and regulations of UP.
  • Utilize all communication tools available including, but not limited to; UPLink, email, and instant messaging

Job Specifications:
  • Detailed Loan Documentation knowledge.
  • Ability to interact smoothly with branch personnel.
  • Ability to handle pressure of meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and use independent judgment.
  • Ability to multitask and understand priorities in the interest of the bank.
  • Knowledge of loan transactions and calculation principles.
  • Occasional travel/additional hours may be required for meetings/training classes
  • Must be able to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
Job Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years of Ag/Commercial loan experience.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Knowledge of PC use and familiar with software programs.
  • Accurate typing and data input skills.
  • Knowledge of general banking principles.
  • Occasional day travel may be required for training/meeting purposes.
