Loan Support Specialist

The following full-time opportunity is now available. 

Location: Owatonna, MN 

Provide support to lenders by coordinating activity in support of credit approval process, compiling loan data, borrower and property information as well as support bank customers


  • Organize loan files according to UP policies and procedures for each loan type.
  • Provide support to lenders by performing tasks needed to originate and maintain high quality loans and credit files
  • Maintain tickler system for all loan files, including updating customer financials.
  • Order appraisal/title work if needed.
  • Update UCC and insurance information when necessary.
  • Complete lien waivers when required.
  • Assist with Loan-related bookkeeping and bank operations as delegated by management.
  • Collect and update customer financial statements and income tax returns
  • Provide back-up support for deposit client services as delegated by management.
  • Process all documentation for line-of-credit advances.
  • Abide by all policies, procedures and regulations of UP.
  • Any and all other duties as assigned by management.

Job Specifications:

Well-developed verbal and written communication skills. Organizational skills which support multi-tasking and deadlines. Highly adaptable to change. Ability to practice discretion and confidentiality in all situations.       


Job Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 12 months of loan experience.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Knowledge of PC use and familiar with software programs.
  • Accurate typing and data input skills.
  • Knowledge of general banking principles.
  • Occasional day travel may be required for training/meeting purposes.
