Position Purpose:         

The Client Service Specialist will develop banking relationships and serve the needs of bank clients. This role will process frontline transactions, promote and service commercial and consumer electronic services to ensure the needs of the clients are met. This position promotes business for United Prairie by maintaining good client relations and referring clients to appropriate staff for new services.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Process teller transactions (deposits, withdrawals, payments) and manage a cash drawer.
  • Originate and open new consumer and commercial deposit relationships including new accounts and compatible products and services.
  • Recommend United Prairie Bank products or services when it would serve a customer’s financial need through cross sales.
  • Provide ongoing service to bank clients in order to prevent/resolve problems and ensure client satisfaction.
  • Assist with frontline tasks– including but not limited to setting up e-banking, e-statement, debit cards, money orders, official checks, savings bonds, COD’s, accepting loan payments, cash advances, wire transfers, check orders, gift cards and vault duties.
  • Greet customers, answer phones, and perform clerical tasks.

Job Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or GED
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • General knowledge of internet usage and Microsoft office programs
  • Ability to practice discretion and confidentiality in all situations.
  • Occasional day travel may be required for training/meeting purposes
