Insurance Client Service Specialist

Location: Mankato, MN

This position requires Minnesota Property / Casualty and / or Life / Accident & Health insurance producer’s license. Assist agents with sales and retention activities by providing essential support focused on marketing and client service. Maintain a productive insurance office.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Communicate with current and potential clients and resolving concerns.
  • Contact current and potential clients via phone and/or email to set appointments for agent.
  • Prospect for new clients and identify cross-sell and up sell opportunities with current clients.
  • Set priorities and manage workflows to ensure efficient, perform timely and accurate processing of transactions.
  • Process policy payments, endorsements and certificate requests. Set follow up activity to assure request were properly completed.
  • Assist clients in submitting loss notices and maintain follow up to ensure timely claims settlement.
  • Maintain orderly electronic files and information, following agency standards.
  • Compile and update client lists and databases.
  • Prepare insurance proposals, review documents and forms required to bind insurance products, as directed by licensed staff.
  • Assist agent with additional activities as assigned to achieve office growth and retention objectives.
  • Attend required training and continuing education programs regarding insurance products and financial and insurance regulations.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • HS Degree or equivalent
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Excellent spelling and grammar; excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Professional appearance and telephone manner is essential
  • Minimum of two (2) years prior insurance office experience preferred
  • Must obtain MN Property / Casualty and / or Life, Accident & Health Insurance License within 180 days of employment
  • Occasional day travel may be required for training/meeting purposes.
