Denim for Dollars Program
United Prairie launched the Denim for Dollars program back in 2010. The team was looking for a unique way to unify our company apparel and give back to our communities. Chief Executive Officer, Scott Bradly put it best, “We looked like a bunch of M&M’s,” when it came to our company apparel at that time. Team members across the company had logo wear shirts in all colors under the rainbow.
It was time to step up our game with our brand recognition, and most importantly, our giving! You’ll now see us on Fridays in our signature black UP logo shirts, Denim for Dollars buttons, and of course….jeans!
Employees have the option to wear jeans each Friday with a donation of $5. Each quarter, our donations and tallied and company-matching dollars are applied. Since the program began in 2010, United Prairie, and its employees, have donated nearly $300,000 to organizations across our footprint through Denim for Dollars.
